Picking Out Your CD Storage Cabinets

When you bring home your brand new CD player you will just have to face the fact that you also need new CD storage cabinets. You can decide if you want the cabinet to just hold the player or if you want it to also contain your CD’s. Depending on the size of your collection, you may want part of your collection in the cabinet with the player and a separate cabinet to hold the bulk of you collection, completely organized, of course.

The whole idea is to get organized and also to have a nice new piece of functional furniture. There are a couple of options you may want to consider. For example do you want your CD storage cabinets to open from the top, with drawers for the CD’s, or do you prefer one that opens from the front with open view shelves for the CD’s. Both types are available so you should think it through before you head out on the shopping trip.

How about color? Do you want a painted cabinet or do you prefer solid wood CD storage cabinets? You can also find very modern looking cabinets with chrome frame and glass shelves to hold both your player and a few of your most favorite CD’s. As you ponder all of your choices, don’t forget to take into account what the other furniture, in the room where your new cabinet will be, looks like. You don’t want to pick something that just looks out of place with the other furniture.

While not usually a personal consideration, for me, you may want to think about what your friends will think of your CD storage cabinets. You know, much better than me, how much your friends opinion matters to you and your choices. Just thought I would mention it, in case it is an important consideration for you.

The last and most often over looked, choice you have, is the CD cabinet that practically vanishes from sight when it isn’t being used. This could be made of any material that will blend in with the other furniture in the room so well that is almost seems to be invisible. It could be a cabinet that opens from the front and you use the top as a lamp table, or even a curio table.
